POSTIMET E REJA

Simpler than you think, this quick morning routine will change your day

Do you have aspirations to rise to a leadership role in your company? Or maybe you just want to build a better reputation for yourself to colleagues who view you as one of the most diligent employees. If you find yourself in one of the above scenarios, then a study conducted by the University of Florida gives you a new tip on how to start the day.
Researchers say that if you spend only a few minutes in the morning thinking about the successes you have achieved in the past, it will help you to be an effective employee. Even if it seems like an easy thing to do, do not be surprised, often simple things are the ones that work best.

” It simply came to our notice then. “In the morning as you drink your coffee, you can reflect for a few minutes on how you would be as a leader, or which example of a leader you would consider following,” said Remy Jennings, a doctoral student at Warrington College of the University of Washington. Business in Florida and one of the authors of this study. As human beings, we are all blessed with the ability for self-reflection. We can reflect by thinking about our mistakes and successes and focusing on the elements that help us move forward.
A few minutes of reflection in the early hours of the morning on how you acted in the past and how you want to act in the future is one of the best ways to start the day with your right foot.
” Leadership is really challenging, so many people are reluctant to accept such leadership roles,” adds the other co-author of the study, prof. Klodiana Lanaj. “Reflecting for a few minutes in the morning really makes the much-needed change.”
This method of reflection can benefit all those who want to be successful in their field, regardless of whether or not they want to become CEO. Leadership comes in many forms.
This method is not about the success of the company, but about self-assessment every day. Concentrate your thoughts and energy on this approach and you will see that you will be a safer and more useful employee, regardless of your position.
For people hoping to one day become managers and executives, this reflection exercise is a good way to get started at the right pace.
You do not have to wait to be promoted to act as a leader. Set yourself up and start acting as one right now. Consequently, your actions will also bring the opportunities you seek, Jennings further explains.
If you do decide to follow this method of reflection, the study authors advise you to start asking yourself these questions:
• What are some of my most successful moments as a leader?
• What qualities make me a good leader (or will make me a future)?
• What relationships have you established with your staff? Do you want to motivate? Inspire? Do you help them increase their skills?
“This is a method to be more effective at work,” concluded Mrs. Lanaj. “Just a few minutes can completely change your focus for the rest of the day.” Even if you are skeptical, try this approach for a few minutes on one of your mornings and you will see the result for yourself.
