Israeli stylist Alber Elbaz, who worked for some of the most famous fashion houses in France, has passed away at the age of 59, in Paris.
Alber was born in Morocco but is of Israeli-French descent. He has worked for the companies Lanvin and Yves Saint Laurent.
He has consistently worn Hollywood girls like Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Juliane Moore, Natalie Portman.
His death was confirmed by Compagnie Financière Richemont, his joint venture partner at AZ Factory, his latest fashion venture. While the cause of death has not yet been made known.
He started working for Guy Laroche from 1996 to 1998. Nominated by Pierre Bergé, Elbaz was the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent from 1998 for three seasons, before joining Lanvin and staying there until 2015.
